Recently, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Office (“BPN”) issued several regulations and policies which provide measures to prevent further spread of Covid-19 pandemic in BPN and land offices environment. The new regulations and policies provide for online services with respect to land registration and mortgage over the land, as a means to minimize physical activities in the land offices.These new regulations/policies also provide relaxation in the real estate sector by the BPN in respect of the land rights registration or renewal and the introduction of the online/electronic mortgage services.
