Budidjaja International Lawyers has successfully held a Sharing Session on 12 March 2019 with our distinguished guest, Dr. H. Atja Sondjaja, SH, MH. Mr Sondjaja is a Private Law expert with more than 40 years of legal experience and a former Chairman of the Supreme Court’s Civil Chamber and Justice of the Supreme Court. The event was held in collaboration with Budidjaja Institute.
He is also a lecturer at several universities in Indonesia, and has been appointed as a member of Expert Panelist for the selection of Supreme Court’s Justice for the 2013-2019 period by the Judicial Commission of Indonesia. In addition, Mr Sondjaja also often acts as speakers in various seminar and conference speaking about legal development in Indonesia.
During the session, Mr Sondjaja shared his valuable knowledge on Private Law, Private Law Procedures, Criminal Law, as well as a Criminal Procedures. He also explained about the difference between the Unlawful Act and Default, as well as Fraud (Penipuan) and Embezzlement (Penggelapan). Mr Sondjaja also shared his notable experiences when he was a judge and Justice of the Supreme Court, and delivered the important moral values for legal profession.
The topic gained much interest from participants, as it can be seen from their active participation in discussions with Mr Sondjaja. We extend our sincerest gratitude to Mr Sondjaja for his valuable time and we look forward to having similar events with him in the future.
