B&A Client Seminar – The Constitutional Court – Brief Reflections on the First Decade (2003-2013)
The third B&A Client Seminar of the year was held in our office on 13 December 2013. The topics covered focused on recent court decisions and how they have affected businesses, titled “The Constitutional Court – Brief Reflections on the First Decade (2003-2013)”.
This important seminar was intended to help our Clients understand how to respond to Constitutional Court (MK) decisions that may not in line with their business interests. We were truly delighted for the interactions and relationships that were made during the discussion; and hope that this event will be able to help increase the sustainability of businesses that are affected by the issues covered in the seminar.

B&A Welcoming the Netherlands Prime Minister
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte had just visited Indonesia (20 – 22 November 2013) accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Ms Lilianne Ploumen and the Minister for Agriculture Ms Sharon Dijksma.
With great pleasure Mr Tony Budidjaja had the opportunity to welcome Rutte in his visit in the Netherlands Embassy in Jakarta.
We do hope that bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Netherlands will grow more for mutual benefits.

B&A Client Seminar – The Importance of Mediation to the Business Sector – September 2013
The second B&A client seminar of the year was held on 17th September 2013 in our office. We were truly delighted with the overwhelming response shown by the invitees in attending and participating for the seminar, and would like to extend our warm gratitude for the kind gestures shown by them.
We also would like to extend our utmost appreciation to Justice Takdir Rahmadi for sparing time from his busy schedule to deliver an excellently put presentation detailing about the development of mediation in Indonesia.
Additionally, our sincere thanks and appreciation also goes to Mr. Campbell Bridge as the other speaker during the event. We certainly hope that his presentation will be able to give more light on the potential that the mediation process have in providing business owners and legal practitioners with an alternative when it comes to resolving conflicts arising from their business arrangement.

B&A Japan Visit: Doing Business in Indonesia Seminar – June 2013
It is our great pleasure to announce that Budidjaja and Associates with the help of our most esteemed friends from Miyake and Partners and the Indonesian Investment Promotion Center (IIPC) has successfully carried out its first Client Seminar in Japan.
We truly appreciate the hospitality shown by our Japanese friends, colleagues, clients and partners in making our event a truly fruitful and meaningful one. With more than 40 people in attendance, we are hoping that this small event would enable a deeper understanding amongst Japanese business owner in entertaining for the possibilities of bringing their business in an even larger scale in Indonesia.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Masayuki Watanabe of Miyake and Partners, without whom this event would not be possible in the first place. It was through his hard-work that this event was brought into realization. We are hoping that the strong relationship between our two firms will continue well into the future. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Husen Maulana and his team at the IIPC Tokyo who has been very supportive in making this seminar to be quite a remarkable experience.

B&A at Skrine 50th Anniversary Conference
On last June B&A was invited to participate in Skrine’s 50th Anniversary Conference in Kuala Lumpur. B&A was represented by Ms. Juni Dani as the guest speaker who was presenting the overview on the Indonesian Shipping Laws.
