Budidjaja International Lawyers (BIL) is proud to support the 2019 International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Asian Regional Meeting and Corporate Counsel Symposium that was held in Singapore on 9-10 May 2019. The event is held regularly by IADC to establish networks and discuss critical legal issues and updates particularly in Asia among its members.
Our Senior Associate, Mr. Narada Kumara, shared a panel with Ms. May Kim Ho of Duane Morris & Selvam LLP (Singapore) and Ms. Sitpah Selvaratnam of Tommy Thomas Advocates & Solicitors (Malaysia) discussing legal issues and updates in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. Narada shared update and his experience dealing with certain issues relating to cross-border litigation from perspective of Indonesian law. Our Senior Partners, Mr. Tony Budidjaja and Mr. Anton Latief also attended the event.
In this event, the Senior Minister of State for Law and Health of Singapore, Mr. Edwin Tong Chun Fai, gave his keynote speech before the forum. The Senior Minister of State shared the Singapore Government’s action plan with respect to the Government’s vision to make Singapore as an international hub for the cross-border insolvency, litigation and arbitration. During the visit to Singapore, our Mr. Tony Budidjaja, Mr. Anton Latief, and Mr. Narada Kumara also managed to meet and greet some of BIL’s valued clients and colleagues in Singapore in appreciation of their continued support and trust in our firm.
