Results of The Supreme Court’s Annual Plenary Meeting of 2019

At the end of 2019, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia (the “Supreme Court”) held an annual plenary meeting as part of its continued efforts to evaluate judiciary system issues (technical and non-technical).

Subsequently, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court issued Circular Letter No. 2 of 2019 dated 27 November 2019 regarding the Implementation of the Results of the Supreme Court Chambers Plenary Meeting of 2019 as the Implementation Guideline of Duties for Courts (the “Circular Letter 2/2019”), which serves as the guideline and directions for lower courts in implementing duties, particularly those related to a number of key issues that emerged in 2019.
