The Indonesian Academy of Independent Mediators and Arbitrators (“MedArbId”) held a Coffee Talk session on 31st October 2019 with theme “The Impact of the Singapore Mediation Convention on Alternative Landscape Dispute Resolution”.

MedArbId’s insightful and educative coffee talk was brought by our Managing Partner of BIL, Tony Budidjaja, with Campbell Bridge (Senior Counsel of New South Wales Bar), Simon Bellas (Global Disputes and Construction Partner at Jones Day) as the speakers as well as Reynalda Basya Ilyas (Senior Associate of BIL) as our the moderator.

The event discussed the salient features and implications of the Singapore Mediation Convention to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Landscape. The convention strives to increase the practice of using mediation in resolving cross-border disputes by offering a solution to the long-awaited ability to enforce mediated settlements in various jurisdictions.

We extend our gratitude to our BIL members, clients, and colleagues who spared their valuable time and support this event.

See you at our next event!
